What's happening?

![Wraith Logo](img/logo.svg)Time sure does fly. I've been juggling my real life and my unlife for a while now, but I'm still around on a daily basis, even if just for a few minutes. I'm rewriting certain parts of the website in the background and I'll probably switch to Bootstrap CSS to reduce the design frustration somewhat. Once I'm satisfied with the look and functionality, I'll push all of the updates at once (which could cause some growing pains). There's currently no set ETA for it, but I'm hoping to be done by the end of next month. After the update, we'll also be changing some rules. While we are, and always will be, a casual guild, the sense of community is still at an all time low and the number of inactive players is depressing. I'll be reducing the unannounced inactivity grace period to 1 month. We don't really benefit from people who can't log in at least once a month. Registration on the website is also going to become a requirement again. I don't really care about page visits, but I'm hoping that forcing people to register will strengthen our little community by better informing members of available means of communication. I'm gonna start my next recruitment initiative soon as well, so hopefully we'll be able to once again revitalize the guild a bit. Of course, any help is appreciated. If you'd like to help us recruit new people, feel free to ask any of the officers if they could promote you to a banshee. Oh yeah, and Living Story Season 3 has started as well. That's cool, I guess.

All Quiet on the Western Front

![Continue Coin](img/continue-coin.png)In a somewhat ironic fashion, life seems to keep getting in the way of Death. Seeing as I've been rather busy these last couple of months, I decided to do a little experiment. I ensured that all venues of communication are open to the players and waited to see if anyone decides to use them. Unsurprisingly (at least to me), aside from some moderate activity on the in-game guild chat and the occasional use of TeamSpeak, all of them are pretty much dead (no pun intended). Moreover, we've had a whopping 7 people actually register on the website. While it may be a bit bare bones at the moment, it still shows a distinct disinterest in integrating with our community on the part of our members. So, what does this mean going forward? Well, I have no interest in getting us our own forum if we can't even manage to keep a one thread alive. I'll try to push TS a bit more once I get a new place and I can afford stuff again. The rest is up to you, I guess. I'm also holding off on site updates for a little bit while I'm still sorting my life out. It's not like anyone's desperately waiting for them. In other news, SAB is back and better than ever. Sadly, no actual new content, but it now looks like it's gonna be a yearly festival, and although the developers aren't too hopeful for future updates, I would wager its popularity makes them more or less inevitable. W3 next year? Yes? Maybe? Please?

Wraith 2.0

![Wraith Logo](img/logo.svg)It's been a long time coming but I've finally managed to implement the new version of the website which is now live (obviously). It still leans heavily on HTML5 and CSS3 features, but it's much lighter when it comes to JavaScript and cleaner in design. Keeping your browser updated is still a priority, so make sure you're up to date in order to be able to view the site correctly. I'm also hoping that the grayscale theme isn't too depressing. I think it does a good job contrasting some of the more colorful stuff and it fits the overall dark theme of the guild, but I'm not above making some changes (or different themes). I still have a long way to go but the fresh design lends itself quite nicely to the development of new features, so you should be seeing more new and improved stuff at greater frequency (subject to the needs and wants of the guild, of course). There is still some basic stuff on the docket (member list, event planner, guild rank descriptions, event logs, etc.) as well as a few things for site administration, but beyond that I'm open to suggestions. In other news, our guild numbers are now reaching the big 100. This might seem trivial to newcomers, but for those of us who have been here from the start, it's a pretty huge deal. We've been gathering quite a large number of lost souls over the last few months and will continue doing so in hopes that we can develop a more involved community. If you're part of our guild, don't be afraid to talk to us. We have a lot of interesting people and we'd love to get to know you better. And as always, if you see any errors or if something doesn't work, let me know.
